Domuso Inc. (“Domuso” or “Company”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This page sets forth the Privacy Policy for the Domuso Services and Site (as those terms are defined in Domuso’s Terms of Service) including www.domuso.com and all other websites owned and operated by Domuso. The Privacy Policy in effect at the time you use the Site or Services governs how we may use your information. We reserve the right, at any time and without notice, to add to, change, update, or modify this Privacy Policy, by posting such change, update, or modification on the Site and without any other notice to you. If we make material changes we will post the revised Privacy Policy and the revised Effective Date on this Site. Please check back here from time to time to review any changes. Any such change, update, or modification will be effective immediately upon posting on the Site.

1. DATA COLLECTION

1.1. Information you give Domuso

If you open an account with Domuso or use the Domuso Services, we may collect the following types of information:

  • Personal information – your name, mailing address, unit number, email address, phone number, third-party application IDs, username and other similar information.
  • Financial information – bank account numbers, check image and information, MoneyGram account information and/or debit and credit card numbers that you link to your Domuso account or give us when you use the Services.

Before permitting you to use the Services, we may in some cases require you to provide additional information, including but not limited to your date of birth, social security number and other personal information. We may use this information (or other information you provide) to verify your identity, perform due diligence and screen you against OFAC and other sanctions lists

1.2. Information Domuso learns from your Use

When you visit the Domuso Site or use the Services, we may collect information sent to us by your computer, mobile phone or any other device. This information may include your IP address, geolocation, device information including but not limited to identifier, name and type, operating system, location, mobile network information and standard web log information, such as your browser type, traffic to and from our Site, the pages you accessed on our Site, and any other available information. We may also collect information about your use and interaction with our Site, application or the Services.

When you use the Services, we may also store information based on your usage history as well as your payment history. This includes, but is not limited to, details of your transactions, payment history, content you viewed, event information, click stream information, and cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or your account. We may also collect information about you from any contact (whether electronic, audio or otherwise) you have with any of our services or employees, such as, with our customer support team, legal team, in surveys, or through interactions with our affiliates.

1.3. Cookies and other tracking technologies

We use various technologies to collect and store information when you use the Services, and this may include sending one or more cookies or device identifiers. We also use these tracking technologies when you interact with the services we offer to our partners, such as advertising services or Domuso features that may appear on other sites and in any other manner that we deem necessary for our business purposes, such as site operations and analytics. We may permit select third parties to place cookies through the Site to provide us with better insights into the use of the Site or user demographics or to provide relevant advertising to you. These third parties may collect information about a consumer’s online activities over time and across different websites when he or she uses our Site. We do not control how these third parties use the information that they collect.

We do not currently use technology that recognizes do-not-track signals from your browser. We will continue to review this technology as it continues to evolve.

You can learn about your options to opt out of mobile app tracking by certain advertising networks through your device settings and by resetting the advertiser ID on your Apple or Android device. Further general information about cookies and how they work is available at www.allaboutcookies.org.

1.4. Information obtained from third parties

We may also obtain information about you from third parties such as our support center partner, credit bureaus, identity verification services, sanctions lists, social media or Domuso clients’ property management software systems. You may also choose to provide us with access to certain personal information stored by third parties such as personal bank accounts, MoneyGram accounts and debit and credit cards. The information we have access to varies by site and is controlled by your privacy settings on that site and your authorization. By associating an account managed by a third party with your Domuso account and authorizing Domuso to have access to this information, you agree that Domuso may collect, store and use this information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

2. DATA USE

2.1. To perform and improve our services

Domuso uses information to perform and improve our services, facilitate payments, contact you, conduct research, provide customer support, perform collections and recoveries, perform due diligence and provide reporting for our property management clients. For example, we may use information to provide customer service and support, process transactions, resolve disputes, recover amounts owed, process chargebacks, process NACHA returns, collect payments, prevent illegal activities, customize the Services, reduce risk to all parties involved in our transactions, and verify the accuracy of information.

2.2. To serve relevant marketing to you

If you wish to receive marketing about our Services, you may change your preferences by emailing [email protected]. Alternatively, you can indicate your preferences by logging into your account and adjusting your preferences to “opt in” for desired marketing communications.

If you “opt in” we may use information to deliver targeted marketing and promotional offers based on your communication preferences. We may combine your information with information we collect from other companies and use it to improve and personalize the Services, content, and advertising.

2.3. Perform due diligence

Domuso may use information to screen users against OFAC and other sanctions lists in accordance with relevant laws, rules and regulations. Domuso may also use information to prevent fraudulent actors from using and accessing our Site.

3. How Domuso shares your information.

3.1. For our everyday business purposes

We share your personal information with employees, consultants, affiliates, service providers, vendors, partners, merchant partners, property management company clients, marketing providers, and third parties as required to offer the Domuso Service. This includes, but is not limited to, processing transactions, recovering amounts owed, maintaining your account, responding to court orders and legal or law enforcement related investigations, litigation purposes, complying with laws and regulations, audits or other investigations, sanctions screening and reporting to credit bureaus.

We also engage the following types of service providers to perform functions on our behalf: billing and collection providers, payment processors, disbursements providers, auditing and accounting firms, law firms, professional services consultants, providers of analytics services, security vendors, and IT vendors. Occasionally, these service providers may also collect data directly from you and their privacy policies may also apply.

We may also share your information with our property management clients with whom you use the Domuso Services, and as otherwise permitted by law.

We never post anything to your accounts with Facebook, Twitter, or other third-party sites without your permission.

3.2 Corporate Transactions

We may share your personal information if the disclosure is done as part of a purchase, transfer or sale of services, equity or assets (e.g., in the event that substantially all of our equity or assets are acquired by another party, customer and user information may be one of the transferred assets).

3.3. When required by law

We will share your information with any party when required by law, law enforcement request or by a government request to do so or to combat fraud or criminal activity.

4. CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY

4.1. Safety policies

Domuso stores and processes your information maintaining physical, electronic and procedural safeguards. We maintain physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems and use safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption. We enforce physical access controls to our buildings, and we authorize access to personal information only for those employees or agents who require it to fulfill the responsibilities of their jobs. We may use standard security or encryption technology to protect information being transferred to our Site, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. If we receive instructions using your log-in information we will consider that you have authorized the instructions. Domuso undergoes SOC 1 and SOC 2 audits by a third party audit firm.

4.2. Confidentiality

Except as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy, we will keep your personal information private and will not share it with third parties, unless such disclosure is necessary to comply with a court order, law enforcement request or other legal process, protect our rights or property; or enforce our Terms of Service.

4.3 Public Information and Links to other Websites

The Site contains links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such other non-Domuso websites. We may make certain news groups and forums available to you, but please exercise caution if you decide to disclose your Personal Information on websites that are not owned or operated by Domuso as Domuso does not control such websites.

5. What are your options?

5.1 Notifications

If you no longer wish to receive notifications about new Services or other promotional offers, you may change your notification preferences by emailing [email protected]. Please know that this will not stop us from sending your emails about your account or your transactions with us. Alternatively, you can indicate your notification preferences by logging into your account and adjusting your preferences to “opt in” for desired notifications.

5.2 Accessing, Updating and Correcting your information

You can review and edit your personal information at any time by logging in to your account on the Site or by contacting us at [email protected].

You can also request to close your account by contacting us at [email protected]. If you close your Domuso account, we will mark your account in our database as “Closed,” but will keep your account information in our database to comply with our legal obligations. This is necessary in order to deter fraud, by ensuring that persons who try to commit fraud will not be able to avoid detection simply by closing their account and opening a new account. If you close your account, your personally identifiable information will not be used by us for any further purposes, nor sold or shared with third parties, except as necessary to prevent fraud and assist law enforcement, as required by law or in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

6.1 Your California Privacy Rights

We do not share your information with third parties for their direct marketing use.

6.2 California Privacy Rights Act Notice

Domuso is not currently subject to the California Privacy Rights Act. If we become subject to this law we will update our Privacy Policy accordingly.

7. Notice to Nevada Residents

We do not transfer personal information for monetary consideration. If you would like to tell us not to sell your information in the future please email us at [email protected] with your name, postal address, telephone number and email address with “Nevada do not sell” in the subject line.

8. Notice to Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and Utah

Domuso is currently not subject to the Colorado Privacy Act, the Connecticut Personal Data Privacy Act, the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, or the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act. If we become subject to any of these laws in the future we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

9. Children’s Privacy

Neither the Site nor our Services are designed nor intended to be attractive for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. If you are under 13 please do not submit any information to us.
